The Quays - Salford - Trafford - Manchester
NEGLECT
Maintenance of street furniture on Salford Quays is wanting in some areas.
On this Traffic Island, one Bollard is missing the other is squashed
flat. This has been like this for over 12 months. Traffic separation
at this point should be considered as important and one of safety.
On small Roundabouts of this style - many are unlit and not maintained along The Quays.
Painted Street Lamps are peeling and neglected. Some do not work.
Trafford
Metropolitan Borough Council have been making more effort on their
side. But the lack of litter bins with suitable sitting does not
attract people to enjoy 'Trafford Quays'. There is a £5 million new
vacant office building - but in reality - nowhere for the
'occupants' to sit and eat lunch on the Wharfside.
