ANTI-SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR

Residents and Visitors must suffer Anti-Social Behaviour every Summer in the late afternoons and week-ends. Come visit, experience feral youths at their anti-social best.

Resident Comment

" I'm at the end of my tether, the worst thing is who are you supposed to complain too? I don't know who too call or contact over this distressing situation at this moment in time. I'm watching 27 youths jumping off Detroit bridge not only from the walkway on the bridge itself but  they are actually climbing it the iron suspension's to the very top of the bridge, walking across the 2 foot wide 20ft long beam and then jumping.."

There are Bye-Laws on The Quays against nuisance but in particular swimming is not allowed without permission. The waters are deep, dark and very cold.

Suffer if walking or suffer even more if you happen to reside near the main basins or canal that joins those two basins.

Its not swimming - it is Anti-Social Behaviour, screaming, shouting, swearing. Take out the Ring Life Buoys and after abusing them, make sure they are discarded. Damage trees and anything that can be damaged. Get drunk, throw your litter anywhere.

Resident Comment

" I stood on my balcony looking and disbelieving what I was seeing and had a stone thrown up at me which came into my apartment and scarcely missed a 6ft mirror on the wall
"

Jump dangerously from all bridges and make as much noise as you can. Climb on buildings and be ready to give a mouthful to any one who protests. Throw stones, or get a discarded football out of the rubbish drift to kick at the Swans for good measure.

When regeneration is not maintained it degenerates faster then the original  it replaces.

2008

Walk briskly and confidently if you are being eyed up for street crime. Remember they are looking for easy punters to rob.
